TYo Yo! I’m T and I am the host of the wicked breakfast show on Aerial FM, the ‘LG Morning T Show, where Life Is Good.’ I'm the guy who will try absolutely anything once without thinking and happy go lucky is the best way to describe me and my personality. I love taking a dig at Paul, (the old bugger who does the drive show on the weekends, also called my boss), and absolutely love getting out and about interacting with as many people as I can, in any way possible……almost any way. I was a snow virgin until I moved here and love the central plateau. I love keeping up to date with news from absolutely everywhere and love keeping up to date with the latest music and gigs as well. I get a tandem buddy on Tuesdays, (K2 Dazza) and Saturdays, (Old man Paul). These shows I love because that’s where I get to rip the piss and have a bit of fun in the studio. You rarely see me without a smile on my face, and I like doing that to others as well. Listen out to Aerial FM for the LG Morning T show, and if you see me out and about, don’t be shy. Come up and say hello, I don’t bite! |

NinaHey I'm Nina, I’m on Aerial Fm from 1-6 Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. The only qualification I have for this job is a big mouth, and I usually have to record everything twice to get rid of the swearing... I study extramural through Massey University, majoring in Biomathematics, Psychology and Vet Nursing - student til I die, I hate real work! Live in beachy Gisborne for the summers where I make ends meet breaking in horses, and I board Turoa during the winter, doing promo 'work' for Jager and Aerialfm LOVE - snowboarding, horse riding, my boxer pup, reading, duct tape, chocolate and gorgeous scenery. HATE - cockroaches, closed days up the hill and hitting ice, Ohakune hangovers (swear they're more vicious than the normal kind), anything that can't be fixed with duct tape. Listen to me! Listen to me! |

The InternThe Aerial FM INTERN began his career as a stamp licker for NZ Post but the advent of automated machinery meant he was forced to take redundancy.Lost and aimless, he spent hours a day entertaining the elderly with his quirky opinions at the hearing impaired ward. Yours Truly |

PaulPaul was born and bred on the slopes of Mt Ruapehu, growing up in Whakapapa Village in Ngauruhoe Cresent behind the infamous Chateau where his father Ernst worked for 30 years. Paul, his two older brothers and younger sister would sneak into the kitchens to nab biscuits and sneak peeks at the high society glamour balls and enviable après life that was such a big part of the snow scene back at that time. His father being a cabinet maker would help Paul craft snow boards and skis in the basement of their home and as one could imagine Paul spent every spare moment on the slopes of the mountain. He joined the Ruapehu SKI team where he competed against other ski brats – the most notable being Simon Wi Rutene and in 1987. While living in Queenstown, Paul won the NZ Extreme Ski championship. After several years running his own enterprises around the world he returned to NZ in 1994 with his wife for a ‘season’ and he never left! Paul has had a passion for media from a young age, listening to all the old time classic records with the chef from the Chateau when he was a kid. This began his life time passion for the collection of vinyl and film. In 1998 Paul made NZ’s first snowboard movie, A Controlled Fall, in association with Sony Music. This was released as a video and soundtrack CD. Paul has continued his love affair with film creating clips for TV, filming events on the mountain and working on and off films such as Lord of the Rings, Without a Paddle and The River Queen. Paul did a stint on Radio Active in Wellington and on Costa Rican Radio where the local DJ’s were delighted with The Headless Chicken’s ‘Donde esta La Pollo’ and other New Zealand music that Paul featured at the time. He has always been a huge supporter and advocate for local music. Promotional activities were soon to follow with Paul organising much on the entertainment for the mountain and venues around town. This culminated in the birth of the Fallout Festival which runs annually for three weeks show casing music, comedy and the arts. The festival has recently celebrated its 10th birthday. In order to bring all his passions of music, entertainment, film, promotion and media together Paul established Ruapehu Active Media which incorporates Aerial FM and broadcasts from Thames Street in the Junction; Ohakune – right where it all happens. Positioned upstairs from Paul’s other enterprise – the bustling Projection Room Bar and Restaurant, Aerial FM is the pulse of the town and the mountain. |
